Growing up with parents who loved God and took me to church, I was exposed to biblical teachings from childhood. While my parents weren't perfect, they did their best to teach their children about a loving God who cares about the people He created in His image. When their children were grown, my parents pursued their interest in supporting Bible translation. Along with that, they sought to rescue babies and their parents from the devastation of abortion.
After raising and home-educating my ten living children and caring for my aging parents in my home, I now occasionally work as an English tutor. My husband and I also helped to start a pregnancy resource center in our town, and after serving on the Board of Directors for several years, we are now volunteering as pregnancy decision coaches there.
Recently I became burdened with the need for pro-life Christians to be better informed about the various issues of our day that infringe on the rights of the most vulnerable among us. Lifelines newsletter was born from this concern. Approximately every two weeks I send an email to those who have expressed interest. Each email introduces readers to an issue and links them to resources where they can learn more. My prayer is that our God, who cares about the oppressed, will speak to people and motivate them to pray and become involved in assisting hurting people according to His leading.
